The Voice of Triumph
The Voice of Triumph began in 1980, when Ernest and Ann Rogers were married. Their vision included a ministry that would evangelize, travel to foreign countries, and feed the hungry, along with many other outreaches. Both of them were raised in church, so ministry had been in their sights from a very young age. They began this organization with nothing to speak of except their faith in God, and a desire to work for His Kingdom. In 1981, the ministry obtained a non-profit status. A newsletter began, and they were extremely busy, both here at home, and abroad. They preached in churches, auditoriums, and in a gospel tent wherever they could find a hunger for the Word of God. The tent ministry continued for thirteen years. They have traveled to Haiti, Jamaica, India, many of the Bahama Islands, and Trinidad. They have helped to establish churches in India and Trinidad, and support for them is ongoing. They are still planning trips abroad in the near future. Also, in 1981, The Rogers began having summer camps for the youth. This began in the gospel tent, then a facility was rented in Wilkesboro, NC, where they met every summer with as many as 400 people joining them for an entire week of teaching, preaching, and praise to God. Many preachers, ministries, and missionaries were born in these youth camps. When that building became unavailable, The Rogers purchased land in Blacksburg, SC, where they planned to build a facility where they would move the ministry, and the youth camp. In 2000, that dream became a reality, and today that facility stands as living proof that God honors faith. In 2002, as they grew older, youth camps dwindled, and The Rogers began having retreats at the facility for adults, which became an annual event, attended by hundreds. In 2002, a food bank began in the back of the building, where over 600 families were fed each month for the next 21 years. The facility has been a blessing to many church groups, ladies’ ministries, and youth groups. The VOT Fall Camp Meeting, which began in 2001, was attended annually by many preachers, churches and young people. It continued through 2019.
In 2021, age became a deciding factor, and The Rogers knew that a change was necessary. December 31, 2021, the Food Bank closed, and church services ceased in the facility. God blessed them with a motor home, and they began full time travel once again. At present, they continue in their evangelistic ministry. They are helping to build churches abroad, and they see no place to slow down in working for Jesus.
Sister Ann Rogers has written 7 books, and she has recorded several albums of songs, which continue to bless people all over the world. The property in Blacksburg, SC is for sale, and The Rogers will continue to reside there until a sale is completed.
